Customer Spotlight: Life Flight Network
Life Flight Network's motto, "There. When you need us," has been at the heart of its mission since 1978. For over four decades, they have been a lifeline for rural, remote, and hard-to-reach patients, providing critical services that can mean the difference between life and death. With a fleet of rotor-wing, fixed-wing, and ground transport vehicles, they are always ready to respond to emergencies.
To ensure their aircraft are fueled and ready at a moment's notice, Life Flight Network has partnered with TransFueler to design and build aviation fuel trailers for key locations. These trailers provide ample fuel storage between deliveries, keeping aircraft mission-ready.
Each Life Flight base has unique needs, so we offer a variety of tank sizes ranging from 500 to 2,000 gallons, mounted on heavy-duty trailers. The mobility of the trailers allows them to fuel aircraft directly on-site, eliminating the need to taxi back to a hangar or fuel farm. This capability saves valuable time, which can ultimately save lives.
While we create many custom trailers for Life Flight Network, a typical configuration for rural airports includes the following:
- 500-2,000 gallon double-wall tank, rated for Jet A or AvGas
- Heavy-duty trailer
- Aviation dispensing package with a battery-powered pump and 50-foot hose
- Water detection probe system
- Two emergency stop switches
We take pride in our collaboration with Life Flight Network, an organization widely recognized for its excellence in air and ground life-saving services. Their accolades include the prestigious Diamond Level Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Award, which is a joint recognition from the FAA and industry leaders for exceptional aviation maintenance. They were also honored as the AAMS Program of the Year in both 2009 and 2021 and received the Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Award of Excellence in 2023, among other honors.
